Often the price of a piece of equipment or a resource is considered as the only cost of making a purchase; but the cost of processing the purchase must not be overlooked. However, depending on how complicated or time consuming it is to make a purchase, the cost of researching for the right suppliers/vendors, comparing quality and price of the items as well as the associated services and guarantees can be more expensive than the price of the item itself.
